An answering service built for locksmiths
AllCalls is an AI answering service for locksmiths. Built for a trade where almost every call is urgent: lockouts, break-ins and emergency entry.
Locksmith calls don't split neatly into "urgent" and "routine" the way other trades do. Someone locked out of their house at midnight, a business owner who's just been broken into, a car key snapped in the ignition: almost every call is time-sensitive by nature. AllCalls is set up for locksmiths with that in mind, rather than reusing the urgency rules built for a trade where most calls can wait.
The calls locksmiths actually get
- Lockouts. Home, business or vehicle, the caller usually wants to know how fast someone can get there. The assistant takes the location, the type of lockout, and a callback number, and can treat this as urgent by default if that's how you've set your rules, rather than waiting for a specific trigger.
- Break-ins. The caller may be distressed and may also be dealing with the police at the same time. It takes the details calmly, confirms the address and callback number, and flags it urgent.
- Broken or snapped keys. Common, and usually needs same-day attention rather than being a true emergency. It captures what's broken and where.
- Lock changes after a break-in or a tenancy change. Often planned rather than urgent. It takes the job details and a preferred time.
- UPVC door and mechanism faults. The caller may not know exactly what's wrong, just that the door won't lock or won't open. It asks enough to describe the problem clearly, without trying to diagnose the mechanism itself.
How urgency is handled
Because lockouts and break-ins are the norm rather than the exception for this trade, you can set your rules so these call types are urgent by default rather than needing a specific trigger word before they're flagged. AllCalls notifies you immediately by push and text the moment a call meets your rules, which for most locksmith accounts will be most calls.
If a call ever involves a suspected gas leak, for example where forced entry has affected a gas supply, the assistant tells the caller to leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency number, 0800 111 999, and 999 if anyone's in danger. That rule applies automatically, across every trade.
What it won't do
It won't quote a call-out fee unless you've set one, won't take payment details over the phone, and won't promise a specific arrival time unless you've configured that. It takes the details, checks them back with the caller, and gets them to you fast.

Frequently asked questions
Isn't every locksmith call urgent? How does it handle that?
Yes, most locksmith calls are time-sensitive, which is different from trades where urgency is the exception. You can set your rules so that lockouts and break-in call-outs are treated as urgent by default, rather than needing a specific trigger word.
Can it take payment details or confirm a call-out fee over the phone?
No. It doesn't take payment details, and it won't quote a call-out fee unless you've explicitly set one in your FAQ. It takes the caller's details and situation, and passes it on so you can confirm the cost directly.
Will it ask enough to know if someone's locked out of a car, home or business?
Yes, it asks what kind of lockout it is and where, since that affects who you send and what they need to bring. That detail is passed on with the rest of the message.
