An answering service built for electricians
AllCalls is an AI answering service for electricians. It qualifies power loss and safety calls, books in routine work, and never guesses at a quote.
Electricians deal with two very different kinds of call: the one where a customer's whole house has gone dark and they're worried, and the one where someone wants a quote for a kitchen rewire next month. AllCalls tells the two apart using rules you set, so the first one reaches you fast and the second one doesn't interrupt the job you're on.
The calls electricians actually get
- Total loss of power. Often the consumer unit has tripped and won't reset. The assistant asks what's happened, whether anyone's tried the trip switch, and takes down the address and callback number, flagging it urgent if that's how you've set your rules.
- Sparking, burning smells, or exposed wiring. These are the calls where a caller genuinely shouldn't wait. You can set these as automatically urgent, so they reach you the same way as any other safety-critical call.
- Routine fault-finding. A socket that doesn't work, a light that flickers. It takes the details without treating it as an emergency unless your rules say otherwise.
- EICRs, PAT testing and compliance work. Landlords and businesses often call about certificates and deadlines. It captures what's needed and when, and passes it on rather than trying to book a specific slot itself.
- Quotes for rewires, consumer unit upgrades or EV chargers. These are often higher-value jobs. It collects the scope of what the caller wants and their contact details, so you can follow up with a proper quote rather than a rushed one on the phone.
How urgency is handled
You set the rules for what's urgent in an electrical context, whether that's total power loss, a burning smell, or a caller mentioning sparks or shocks. AllCalls applies those rules the same way on every call and notifies you immediately by push and text when one is met, so you're not finding out from a voicemail hours later.
If a call ever involves a suspected gas leak, for example a combined issue with a boiler or heating system, the assistant tells the caller to leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency number, 0800 111 999, and 999 if anyone's in danger. That safety rule applies across every trade, automatically.
What it won't do
It won't diagnose an electrical fault or give safety guidance beyond what you've explicitly given it to say. It won't quote a job price. And every caller is told upfront they're speaking to an AI assistant, not a person.

Frequently asked questions
How does it tell a dangerous fault from a routine one?
It works from the urgency rules you give it, for example flagging total power loss, burning smells, sparking sockets or exposed wiring as urgent. You decide exactly where the line sits for your business.
Does it know electrical regulations or safety standards?
No. It only answers from the FAQ and business details you've given it. It won't give technical or safety advice it hasn't been told to give; it takes a message instead.
Can it book in EICRs and routine testing?
It can take the details of what's needed and a preferred time, and pass that to you or your booking system. It doesn't confirm a slot on your behalf unless you've set it up to do that.
